Pedro Oliveira (pedro@clarkparsia.com) is currently interning with C&P, until November 2010, when he plans to go back to his beloved country, Portugal.
Before joining C&P, Pedro was
a student at the University
of Coimbra, graduating with a dual-degree (Bachelor's and
Master's) in Informatics Engineering.
During that time, he worked on several academic and industrial
projects as a Student Research Associate at the Centre
for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra. In his
Master's thesis, he studied the appliance of Statistical
Relational Learning techniques to learn and reason about
uncertainty in the Semantic Web.
His main research interests lie
in the fields of the Semantic
Web, Natural
Language Processing, and Machine
Learning.
Pedro lives in NW Washington, DC, dedicating his spare time to his favorite activity: doing nothing.
